Misr Al Kheir launches a standard system for accrediting civil society organizations as green organizations within the framework of the regional campaign “Sustainable Climate” with the participation of “a number of sustainable development experts and civil society leaders”

Monday 7-25-2022 Yesterday, Sunday, the Misr El Kheir Foundation, in the presence of representatives of the Ministries of Social Solidarity and the Environment, launched a proposed standard system for accrediting green NGOs, according to which the extent to which NGOs apply environmental requirements and sustainability requirements in all their practices will be evaluated, and then approved as a green NGO. This is within the framework of the regional campaign, Sustainable Climate, launched by the Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Solidarity and sponsored by the Prepare Green Presidential Initiative, the Arab Network for Non-Governmental Organizations, the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, the National Planning Institute, and the United Nations Programme. During the meeting, the proposal submitted by Misr Al-Khair for this system was discussed in the presence of 55 participants from environmental and civil society organizations and quality experts, Dr. Salah Hashem, Advisor to the Minister of Social Solidarity for Social Policies, Islam Abdel Majeed, Director of the Associations Department at the Ministry of Environment, and Dr. Talaat Abdel Qawi, President of the Union.
